Amino acid analysis without acid hydrolysis of probe. For analysis we do need 1.0 µg to 5.0 µg (20 pmols to 100 pmols) protein, based on an average molecular weight of 25,000 Da. For peptides, the requirement is much smaller - 0.2 µg to 1.0 µg (200 pmols to 1,000 pmols).
