Amino acid analysis without acid hydrolysis of probe. For analysis we do need 1.0 µg to 5.0 µg (20 pmoles to 100 pmoles) protein, based on an average molecular weight of 25,000 Da. For peptides, the requirement is much smaller - 0.2 µg to 1.0 µg (200 pmols to 1,000 pmols).
