The protein was lyophilized from a concentrated (1 mg/mL) sterile solution containing 10 mM sodium citrate pH=3.5. The ED50 as determined by the cytolysis of MC3T3-E1 cells is < 50 ng/mL.

Recombinant Human BMP-2 produced in E.Coli is a homodimeric, non-glycosylated, Polypeptide chain containing 115 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 26,018 Dalton. rHuBMP-2 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Technical Data: Purity: > 98.0% (by RP-HPLC, IEX-HPLC, SDS-PAGE). Less than 1% dimers and aggregates. Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized rHuBMP-2 in sterile 18 Ohm/cm water not less than 100 µg/mL, which can be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
