Recombinant Human Insulin produced in E.Coli is a two chain, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain of 51 amino acids and a molecular mass of 5,807 Dalton. Genaxxon's rHuInsulin is fully biologically active when compared to World Health Organization (WHO) reference standard which is 28units/mg. Insulin decreases blood glucose concentration. It increases cell permeability to monosaccharides, amino acids and fatty acids. It accelerates glycolysis, the pentose phosphate cycle, and glycogen synthesis in liver. |
