Recombinant Human IL-5 produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 116 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 13,261 Dalton. The rHuIL-5 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependant stimulation of the proliferation of TF-1 cells was found to be < 0.15 ng/mL, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 6 x 10(6) IU/mg. |
