The Genaxxon BioScience LongMax-PCR Kit is an optimised version of the Genaxxon Taq-Polymerase for amplification of long DNA fragments up to 15kb from genomic DNA (up to 20 kb of lambda DNA).

The Genaxxon LongMax-PCR Kit is a unique system for Long-range PCR of up to 20 kb. It can replace Taq-, Pfu- or Pwo Polymerase in case of difficult targets (GC-rich, etc). However, the main application is for amplification of very long target sequences, including genomic DNA. With this Kit it will be possible to amplify even GC-rich fragments up to 15 kb from human genomic DNA and up to 20 kb from lambda DNA. The kit is supplied together with 2 mM dNTPs.

Unit-definition: "One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme which will convert 10 nmoles of dNTPs to an acid-insoluble form in 30 min at 72°C under the assay conditions (25 mM TAPS (tris-(hydroxymethyl)-methyl-amino-propanesulfonic acid, sodium salt) pH 9.3 (25°C); 50 mM KCl; 2 mM MgCl2; 1 mM b-mercaptoethanol; and activated calf thymus DNA as substrate."
