N-(trans-Epoxysuccinyl)-L-leucin-4-guanidinobutylamide.

"E-64 is an irreversible inhibitor of different Cystein-proteases (Papain, Bromelain; Ficin, Cathepsin B, H and L, Calpain, V-CATH). All of these enzymes are completely inhibited by a 10-30 µM solution within 30 minutes. Stock solutions of 1-10 mM in DMSO or 50% ethanol are stable for some days at +4°C. Aliquots are stable for ca. 1 month at -20°C."
