Unit-definition: One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme which will hydrolyse 1 mikromole p-Nitrophenylphosphate in 1 minute at 37°C and pH 9.8 (Diethanolamine buffer). Unit-conversion: 1 Glycine unit equals about 3 DEA units, with 1 glycine unit is defined as the amount of enzyme hydrolysing 1 mikromole of p-Nitrophenylphosphate in 1 minute a 25°C and pH 9.6 (glycine buffer).
