BDNF promotes the survival of neuronal populations that are all located either in the central nervous system or directly connected to it. Major regulator of synaptic transmission and plasticity at adult synapses in many regions of the cns. The versatility of bdnf is emphasized by its contribution to a range of adaptive neuronal responses including long-term potentiation (ltp), long-term depression (ltd), certain forms of short-term synaptic plasticity, as well as homeostatic regulation of intrinsic neuronal excitability. This monoclonal antibody is purified by Protein A sepharose. Storage conditions: Lyophilised: store at 4°C. After reconstitution, if not intended for use within a month, aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstitute with 0.5mL H2O. Mix gently, wash the sides of the vial and wait 30 - 60 seconds before use. Applications: Direct ELISA, Western Blot, Immune precipitation Immunohistochemistry. Titer: By direct ELISA, 1:10,000 dilution will yield 0.4 O.D using alkaline phosphatase conjugated rabbit anti-mouse Ig (Jackson Laboratories).
