Automated Edman degradation and Amino Acid identification of the first 5 amino acids.

Degradation steps 1-5 include sample application, automatic Edman degradation and amino acid identification / verification. The ordered number of degradation steps will be billed, even if the amino acids cannot be identified, due to either too little protein being delivered, the N-terminus being blocked, or the sample being too heterogeneous for unambiguous identification. Requirements: Protein concentration should be greater than 10 pmol. Electroblotted proteins on PVDF- or modified glass fiber (NOT nitrocellulose!) can be stained by coomassie or other dyes. Liquid / Lyophilized samples should be provided as concentrated as possible and in low salt buffers. Gel electrophoresis and blotting can be offered by Genaxxon.
