Package Size: 5 g Dithioerythritol Molecular Biology Grade. ((Cleland's reagent, erythro-1,4-Dimercapto-2,3-butanediol). Reduces quantitatively disulfide groups, forming a cyclic disulfide. Not hygroscopic.


Application: used in stead of mercaptoethanol to reduce disulfide bonds of proteins.

Technical Data: MW = 154.3 g/mol, min. 99.2%, not hygroscopic; MP = 82 - 83°C; pH (0.1M in water): 4.0-6.0; Fe: max. 0.0005%; heavy metals: max. 0.001%.
