Package Size: 100 mL TEMED catalyses the formation of free radicals in the presence of ammonium persulfate and is used as an enhancer for polymerisation / cross linking of acrylamide / bisacrylamide gels (Needles H.L. (1970) Anal. Biochem., 35, 533; Ogden R.C., Adams D.A. (1987) Methods Enzymol., 152, 61).


Application: mainly used to catalyse polymerisation of PAGE gels together with APS

Technical Data: MW = 116.21 g/mol, min. 99.0%; refractive index (n20°/D) = 1.417; density = 0.77; BP = 121°C; water: max. 0.3%.
