Package Size: 100 g Agar for Bacteriology, Ideal for the production of LB-agar plates, with extremely low mineral content. 1 liter of LB-agar plate can be prepared by adding 10 g tryptone, 5 g yeast extract, 5 g NaCl and 15 g of agar. Finally 1 ml of NaOH 1 N must be added to the solution. The media is then autoclaved for 25 min. and antibiotics or other substances may be added. From 1 liter LB-agar about 32 to 40 plates can be produced.

Application: for cultivation and growth of bacteria on solid media

Technical Data: Gelation (1.5%) >= 750 g/cm2. Loss on drying: max. 15 % (105°C). Ash: ca 1.5 %. pH (1 %, H2O): ca. 8.0. Contamination with spores: negative.
