PBS-solution with Ca and Mg, without NaHCO3. Phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) is a balanced salt solution that is used for a variety of cell culture applications, such as washing cells before dissociation, transporting cells or tissue samples, diluting cells for counting, and preparing reagents.
PBS formulated with calcium and magnesium are generally used as transport media or for reagent preparation.

CaCl2 x 2H2O 133mg
KH2PO4 200mg
MgCl2 x 6H2O 100mg
NaCl 8g
Na2HPO4 1.15g
Prepare 800mL of distilled water in a suitable container.
Add 133mg of CaCl2 to the solution.
Add 200mg of KH2PO4 to the solution.
Add 100mg of MgCl2 x 6H2O to the solution.
Add 8g of NaCl to the solution.
Add 1.15g of Na2HPO4 to the solution.
Add distilled water up to 1L final volume.
Filter-sterilize. Store at ambient temperature for up to 12 months.
