Preparation of plasmids and time consuming digestions are now unnecessary. Insert Inspector can be used to screen insert sizes of high-copy and low-copy E. coli plasmids. Screening of clones may be achieved within one hour or less by agarose gel electrophesis. Insert Inspector is designed for plasmid extraction from single colonies, colony patches on plates, and early-stationary cells of E. coli in liquid LB medium.
