Description:
The uronic acid residues of all known glycosaminoglycuronans react wit 5-aminofluorescein to yield fluorescent derivatives, which show fluorescence characteristics identical to those of 5-acetamidofluorescein.
5-aminofluorescein is also used to prepare FITC Isomer I.
