Uracil-DNA Glycosylase (UDG) auch Uracil N-Glycosylase (UNG) genannt, katalysiert die Freisetzung von Uracil aus Uracil-enthaltender DNA. Die UDG/UNG von Genaxxon ist ein hochreines, rekombinantes Enzym, isoliert aus E.coli mit der Masse von 26 kDa. UDG hydrolysiert effizient einzel- und doppelsträngige DNA, die Uracil enthält, außer bei Oligomeren mit 6 oder weniger Basen. Daher wird Uracil-DNA Glycosylase (UDG) überall dort eingesetzt, wo man das Risiko von DNA-Verschleppung (Kontaminationen) bei der PCR vermeiden muss.
Damit die UDG/UNG die DNA auch hydrolysieren kann, benötigen Sie dUTP > in Ihren PCR Reaktionen.
