Glutathione is a tripeptide that is available both in reduced and oxidized state, and can be used for a broad range of applications. Reduced glutathione in the Elution Buffer serves to competitively bind to Glutathione resins and release the GST-tagged protein. Reduced glutathione can also be used to elute covalently coupled proteins from Thiol-activated matrices. Mixtures of reduced and oxidized glutathione can be used for refolding of proteins with disulfide bridges, or for expressing these proteins in cell-free lysates. Our glutathione is of highest quality and purity.
