Produktinformationen "IPL-41 Insect Medium mit Glutamin - Pulver"

IPL-41 wurde ursprünglich von Weiss et al. für die "large scale" Zucht von Zellen des Kommandowurms (Spodoptera frμgiperda) entwickelt. Das Medium wird hauptsächlich für die Anzucht und Kultivierung von Zelllinien genutzt, die von Lepidopteren stammen, und die zur Vermehrung von Viren in diesen Zelllinien dienen.
Eine der bedeutendsten Verwendungen des Mediums ist die groß angelegte Kultur von Baculovirus-infizierten Spodoptera-Zellen. Die Expression rekombinanter Proteine erfolgt aus Spodoptera-Zellen unter Verwendung des Baculovirus-Expressionssystems (BEVS).
Es wurden auch Versuche unternommen, die Expression von Fremdgenen in Zellen, die in IPL-41 ohne Serumergänzung kultiviert wurden, zu erhalten (Weiss, SA, et al., Improved method for the production of insect cell cultures in large volumes In Vitro 17, 495-502 (1981)).
