Alpha MEM Eagle medium, with Nucleosides, without Amino Acids, with Glucose, without Hepes, with 2.2g/L sodium bicarbonate, sterile-filtered, for cell culture applications.

Alpha medium is a modified MEM medium, originally developed to grow Chinese hamster kidney cells in vitro. Alpha medium supports the growth of bone marrow cells under both mononolayer and suspension culture conditions. The medium is also suitable for amniotic fluid cells in chromosome analysis. Another widely used supplement modification are nucleosides.
