McCoy's medium with L-glutamine, with phenol red, with 2.2 / L NaHCO3, sterile filtered solution.
McCoy's medium is a complete medium with all amino acids and vitamins. It is used for growing primary cultures. Primary cells are for example marrow cells, gingival cells, adrenal cells, spleen cells, lung cells, rat embryo cells and other cell types. This medium contain 2.2g/L NaHCO3 and therefore requires a 5–10% CO2 environment to maintain physiological pH.
