Product information "DAF-4"
DAF-4 is a indicator for nitric oxide. As with other fluorescein diacetates (DAFs), the non-fluorescent DAF-4 diacetate (DAF-4 DA) is membrane permeable and is deacetylated by intracellular esterases to form DAF-4, which than can react with NO to form the fluorescent DAF-4T.
DAF-4 DA can be used for the fluorimetric detection of nitric oxide and in fluorescence microscopy to measure real-time changes in nitric oxide levels in vivo.
