Product information "DMSO, Molecular biology grade"
DMSO is an aprotic polar solvent that is used in chemical reactions as well as in PCR or as anti-freeze protection in the deep-freeze storage of cells, tissues and organs (sterile DMSO only).
By adding DMSO for annealing before the sequencing reaction and adding 10% DMSO (final concentration) for the labeling reaction and for termination, the quality of the sequencing of Miniprep DNA can be increased. The amplification of RNA by RT-PCR is also improved by adding DMSO. DMSO is used during reverse transcription (RT) and PCR. The DMSO concentration depends on the RNA species.
