Realtime PCR

Genaxxon´s Green and Probe PCR master mixes > for Real Time Quantitative PCR are especially designed and optimized for block cycler, e.g. Roche (LightCycler® 480), Qiagen (Rotor-Gene®), LifeTechnologies (StepOnePlus®) or Applied Biosystems (Mx3005P®) instruments.

Real time PCR, also known as quantitative or qPCR, is an effective tool to make the in-vitro amplification of specific DNA fragments visible without using an agarose gel. As the term implies, the amplification process can be analyzed while PCR is still proceeding (real time). By using real time PCR instruments amplification and fluorescence detection can be combined in a single step. An additional, time-consuming and not easily quantifiable gel electrophoresis is not required.

Genaxxon Green Mastermixes (High ROX®, Low ROX® and without ROX®) contain a green fluorescent intercalating dye >. The mastermixes are optimized for real time PCR in block systems. They contain all the components in order to perform a quantitative PCR, with the exception of the primers and the template DNA. The Probe Mastermixes are without fluorescent dye respectively.
