ISF-1 is a serum-free, chemically defined medium for hybridoma cell line culture and monoclonal antibody (mAb) production. Since the composition of serum-free media is known, there is less batch to batch variability, leading to better comparability of different experiments. Also, the risk of contamination by viruses or mycoplasma is very low.
MAbs produced in serum-free medium are easier to purify, saving time during further processing. ISF-1 supports cell growth and antibody production without the addition of growth factors. Compared to other serum-free media, ISF-1 is superior in terms of cell growth, viability and productivity.
