Ghrelin is a peptide hormone of 28 amino acids. The third amino acid serine of the natural ghrelin is modified with octanoic acid. This modification is essential for the action of the hormone. The molecular mass of ghrelin is 3.24 kDa. The offered peptide is synthetised without the octanoic acid side chain.
